The process it takes to get to a design and installation, goes
something like this:
 Walk and talk,
pictures and measurements. Your family and
Garden Rooms etc
will take a stroll through what you have now and determine
where you want to be. Slopes, patios, decks, water features,
lawn, pergolas, allergies, dogs, cats, kids, how long will
you be in this home etc., all will be discussed in this
initial meeting. Also at this time, an inventory of existing
plants to be saved or transplanted is taken as well as a
soil sample for analysis.
Plans are drawn, delivered, agreed to or
revised as needed. You will receive
a construction plat and a plant list and placement plat. If
there are plantings, you will also receive pictures of
mature plants, alternative plants, etc.
Construction begins;
Whether you are a DIYer or have hired a contractor,
Garden
Rooms etc
will be on hand to guide the process. Materials
(soil, compost, lumber, boulders, concrete, pavers etal)
need to be delivered. Demolition debris removed, irrigation
and lighting lines laid, rototiling, leveling, pushing,
shoveling, scratching and clawing. It isn’t pretty!
Plant purchasing and
delivery is next. Now we can have some fun! The trees and
shrubs go in, then the perennials and finally any lawn.
Please remember that it appears that there are very few
plants at this time but they will grow. On the plan
everything is full, but the plants are drawn 2/3 to ¾ of
mature growth.
This is the time all
of the ornaments and lights get put together. Yes, it is all
worth the time and trouble. Sit back and enjoy! |
